Background:
REAL Digital was formed in 2004 with the aim of becoming a world class marketing services provider. The heart of the business is innovative printing technology and support services, enabling four colour printing of high volume variable data and images at commercial speeds.
REAL has developed a purpose built 85,000 square ft factory in Croydon, Surrey, equipped with the most sophisticated production equipment and technical solutions available in the market today. From web and sheet fed digital printers to finishing and enclosing machines, all fitted with scanning technology to manage document integrity through the entire production cycle, REAL has the ability to produce great paper-based communications – securely and reliably.
REAL Digital works with a number of high profile, blue chip clients across retail, motor, telecoms, insurance and health service sectors, both in the UK and Europe.

The Request:
Previously, storage of paper reels and pre-printed matter was held at REAL Digital’s factory in Croydon.
Due to major growth in demand for their specialist services, REAL Digital needed to turn that valuable space into a productive area and, as existing partners, approached PF Whitehead to provide a solution to their needs.
The Solution:
Through analysis and liaison of the Company’s needs, PF Whitehead was able to allocate a 10,000 square foot dedicated warehouse area to REAL Digital, where they currently store c.1300 pallets, with adjacent loading bay facilities for control of goods in/out.
In addition, PF Whitehead provides a handling service for REAL Digital, receiving and dispatching goods on their behalf at a total average of 35 pallets per day.
To further support their production requirements, PF Whitehead pick and deliver paper reels and other printing materials daily to the REAL Digital factory.
The above solution has not only allowed REAL Digital to grow their production facilities, but has also freed up manpower within their factory to concentrate on more productive areas of the business.
Our transition to offsite storage at PF Whitehead has been painless. The team at PFW worked hard to ensure they understood our needs and made the process straightforward. They have adapted positively to our requirements and are flexible when our business demands change.
