Case study: IKEAOur relationship with IKEA has developed over the last 12 years, and they are one of our most valued customers. We provide them with ongoing services, including warehousing and articulated stock transfers. Our Home Delivery contract with IKEA began in July 2004. We won the account from a much larger multi-national company, because of the improved standards and response time we were able to offer. Now we handle in excess of 1000 home deliveries per week for IKEA, and we operate a same day/next day home delivery service - a much more ‘express delivery’ service than was previously offered. All of our deliveries are made by highly trained two man crews, equipped with the latest in-cab technology. We are continually looking to grow our relationship with IKEA through the development of new and improved services; we are currently working together on a major project exploring the use of alternatively fuelled vehicles.
